Biography

Afsaneh Bagheri is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of Lincoln. She has been engaged in research on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial leadership since 2007. Her papers have been published by top-tier journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Small Business Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, and International Journal of Hospitality Management, among others. She has also presented her research findings at several national and international conferences. Her paper titled “Not for Me: Parents' Entrepreneurial Struggles and Children's Family Business Succession”, has been selected as one of the best accepted papers for the 84th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management taking place in August 2024 in Chicago, Illinois. She is leading three research projects on the intersection of AI and entrepreneurship including: "Entrepreneurial leadership in AI era" funded by British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grants Scheme, Total value of project: £9590; "AI and assessing risks of businesses" funded by Higher Education Innovation Funding for Market Discovery, UKIR. Total value of project: £15,000; and ‘Ethical AI governance for sustainable innovation in startups and SMEs.’ funded by AHRC project, Total value of project £150,000.
