Biography
Sami Uddin Shinwari is a Data Scientist, AI Engineer, and researcher with an MS in Data Science from FAST-NUCES and a BS in Computer Science from UET Peshawar. His research and engineering interests focus on Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Agentic AI, and low-resource language processing, with particular interest in Pashto NLP. His work combines machine learning, deep learning, transformer-based NLP, document intelligence, semantic retrieval, and AI application development. He has published research on transformer-based title generation for Pashto texts and has developed applied AI systems for document processing, RAG-based knowledge retrieval, tax-rule analysis, and time-series data reconstruction. He currently serves as a Subject Specialist (IT) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department and actively develops his expertise through advanced AI training and research.
