Biography
Dr. Pretty Tega Edema is a legal scholar, law lecturer, and Research Lead at the Pan Africa Centre for Artificial Intelligence Ethics. With over a decade of legal practice, teaching, and research experience, her work focuses on artificial intelligence governance, data protection, digital rights, and emerging technology regulation in Africa. She holds a Ph.D. in Law specializing in privacy frameworks, serves as Education Director for the Data Privacy Lawyers Association of Nigeria, and regularly collaborates on interdisciplinary projects bridging legal policy, ethical risk assessments, and scholarly publication.
