Samuel Shaibu

I am a Mechatronics and Systems Engineering graduate interested in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, robotics, embedded systems, and intelligent automation. My broader research interests involve understanding how computational intelligence can be integrated with physical systems to enable machines and devices to perceive, learn, reason, and act in real-world environments.

My interests include machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, robotics, autonomous systems, embedded and edge AI, intelligent control, and the integration of software, sensing, and hardware. I am particularly interested in research that bridges theoretical and computational methods with practical engineering systems, especially where AI can improve autonomy, adaptability, efficiency, and decision-making.

I am also interested in interdisciplinary approaches combining machine learning with control systems, embedded computing, and robotic platforms. My long-term goal is to contribute to research and the development of intelligent systems that address meaningful real-world problems, while continuing to develop deeper expertise in AI, robotics, and computational engineering through research, experimentation, and postgraduate study.
