Muhammad Usman Mughal is an executive AI software leader, certified national scientist, and cross-industry engineering head with nearly a decade of experience spanning artificial intelligence, edtech, telecommunications, fintech, banking, defense, and govTech. Recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and PASTIC as a registered National Scientist (ID: NSD-IT-0013873), he bridges hands-on technical execution in agentic AI, on-device small language models (SLMs), and quantum-anchored architectures with high-level sovereign policy and international keynote thought leadership.
As the Senior Manager and Head of Engineering & AI at Taleemabad (Orenda), he directs engineering operations across multiple domains, scaling production AI systems that support over 340 institutions and 1.5 million learners. His professional background also includes serving as Chief Technology Officer / Head of Engineering & Products at Z Media Technologies, where he spearheaded award-winning AI and Web3 platforms, alongside engineering leadership roles at Evamp & Saanga, Zong CMPAK (China Mobile Pakistan), and the Special Communications Organization (SCO), where he contributed to 5G beta testing and high-security national database integrations.
